In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Pope John Paul II Jaguars baseball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the Hammond Tornadoes.
The Jaguars (10-6) will now prepare for their game against Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA). The Rebels go into the non-league game with a 2-11 record. In their last game, Riverside Academy was overwhelmed by South Lafourche (Galliano, LA), 8-5, in a non-league game.
The Tornadoes (5-9) will now prepare for their game against St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA). The Falcons go into the non-league game with a 1-15 record. In their last game, St. Thomas Aquinas was overwhelmed by Catholic - N.I. (New Iberia, LA), 4-0, in a non-league game.
