The Velma-Alma Comets baseball team (Velma, OK), was overwhelmed 8-4 in Saturday's non-league outing with the host Lexington Bulldogs (Lexington, OK)
The Bulldogs now hold a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Wynnewood for a non-league outing on Tuesday, March 19. Lexington will face a Savages team coming off a 10-8 league win over Wayne (Wayne, OK). The Savages record now stands at 10-1.
Next, the Comets face the Hydro-Eakly Bobcats (Hydro, OK) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, March 21. Velma-Alma will attempt to advance on its 12-4 season record. The Bobcats enter the outing with a 7-0 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Crossings Christian (Oklahoma City, OK).
