In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting St. Bede Bruins baseball team scored a nice 18-1 victory over the Newark Norsemen.
The Bruins (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Midland (Varna, IL). The Timberwolves go into the Tri-County game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Midland was overwhelmed by Valmeyer (Valmeyer, IL), 4-1, in a non-league game.
The Norsemen (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Marquette (Ottawa, IL). The Crusaders go into the non-league game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Marquette overcame Peoria Heights (Peoria Heights, IL), 12-3, in a non-league game.
