In Saturday's non-league game, the host Signal Mountain Eagles baseball team scored a tight 4-3 victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their game against Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN). The Pounders go into the 3A District 6 game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Chattanooga Central was edged by Lookout Valley (Chattanooga, TN), 12-1, in a non-league game.
The Fighting Irish (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Calhoun (Calhoun, GA). The Yellow Jackets go into the non-league game with a 4-10 record. In their last game, Calhoun was edged by North Paulding (Dallas, GA), 5-4, in a non-league game.
