The West Wilkes Blackhawks baseball team (Millers Creek, NC), was tipped 5-4 in Saturday's non-league outing with the visiting Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC)

The Wolverines now hold a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patton for a Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A outing on Tuesday, March 19. Polk County will confront a Panthers team coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 3-3.

Next, the Blackhawks confront the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) in a Foothills 2A outing, on Tuesday, March 19. West Wilkes will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Vikings go into the outing with a 2-3 record after their 12-3 non-league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
