Mount Tabor Spartans (Winston-Salem, NC) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the R.J. Reynolds Demons (Winston-Salem, NC) in a Central Piedmont 4A challenge, on Monday, March 18. Mount Tabor will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Demons enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 1-0 league win over Davie (Mocksville, NC).

The Wildcats now possess a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host South Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 19. New Hanover will confront a Cougars team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.
