California High School Softball - Acalanes holds off Encinal

March 16, 2024: Alameda, CA 94501

Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Acalanes Dons (Lafayette, CA) and the host Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA), witnessed Acalanes's softball squad tip Encinal by a count of 6-4.

The Dons now sport a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Berean Christian for a Diablo - Valley match on Tuesday, March 19. Acalanes will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over KIPP King (San Lorenzo, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Encinal moves to 7-2 on the season. The Jets travel to Berkeley (Berkeley, CA) to meet the Yellowjackets in a West Alameda County-Shoreline match on Wednesday, March 20. The Yellowjackets go into the match with a record of 3-3. Berkeley lost 17-5 in their recent league match against Mt. Eden (Hayward, CA)
