The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Banning Pilots (Wilmington, CA) and the host La Serna Lancers (Whittier, CA), saw Banning's softball squad nip La Serna by a count of 6-3.

The Pilots now sport a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they host Carson for a Marine match on Thursday, March 21. Banning will face a Colts squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Torrance (Torrance, CA). The Colts record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, La Serna falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Lancers host Whittier (Whittier, CA) to face the Cardinals in a Del Rio match on Tuesday, March 19. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 6-8. Whittier won 32-0 in their recent non-league match against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA)
