Barstow Aztecs (Barstow, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Mira Monte Lions (Bakersfield, CA), 10-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Aztecs now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kern Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. Barstow will battle a Broncs squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Woodlake (Woodlake, CA). The Broncs record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Mira Monte falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Lions host North (Bakersfield, CA) to battle the Stars in a South Yosemite Mountain challenge on Monday, March 18. The Stars enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. North won 8-5 in their recent league challenge against West (Bakersfield, CA)
