Beaver Beavers (Beaver, UT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Moapa Valley Pirates (Overton, NV), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Beavers now sport a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Kanab for a 2A South challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Beaver will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 10-4 league win over Panguitch (Panguitch, UT). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Moapa Valley falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Altamont (Altamont, UT) to face the Longhorns in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. The Longhorns enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Altamont won 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Dixie (St. George, UT)
