The Belen Eagles softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Gadsden Panthers to 6 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Belen improves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Eagles travel to Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league game on Saturday, March 16. The Jaguars come into the game with a record of 3-6. Atrisco Heritage Academy lost 17-3 in their recent non-league game against Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 16. Gadsden will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Patriots come into the game with a 3-4 record after their 19-0 non-league loss to Deming (Deming, NM).
