California High School Softball - Chula Vista can't hold off Steele Canyon

The Steele Canyon Cougars softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Chula Vista Spartans to 7 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Steele Canyon improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Cougars host Grossmont (El Cajon, CA) to clash with the Foothillers in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 19. The Foothillers come into the game with a record of 4-3. Grossmont lost 11-6 in their recent non-league outing against Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA)
The Spartans (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA). The Monarchs enter the non-league outing with a 2-8 record. In their last outing, Monte Vista was tipped by Morse (San Diego, CA), 13-3, in a non-league outing.
