Colbert County Indians (Leighton, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rogers Pirates (Florence, AL), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 11-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lauderdale County for a 3A Area 16 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Colbert County will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to East Lawrence (Trinity, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Rogers falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Brooks (Killen, AL) to battle the Lions in a 4A Area 16 challenge on Monday, March 18. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 12-4. Brooks won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Winfield (Winfield, AL)
