Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Donovan Wildcats (Donovan, IL), 16-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cornjerkers now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Paxton-Buckley-Loda for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19.

With the loss, Donovan falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Clifton Central (Clifton, IL) to battle the Comets in a River Valley challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 1-3.
