Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA), 20-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host L.W. Higgins for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. Edna Karr will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 24-9 non-league loss to McDonogh 35 (New Orleans, LA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-10.

With the loss, South Plaquemines falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Riverdale (Jefferson, LA) to face the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. Riverdale won 22-6 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Mary's Academy (New Orleans, LA)
