San Manuel Miners (San Manuel, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Hayden Lobos (Winkelman, AZ), 16-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Miners now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ray for a 1A South challenge on Wednesday, March 20.

With the loss, Hayden falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Lobos host Fort Thomas (Fort Thomas, AZ) to battle the Apaches in a 1A East challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Apaches enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Fort Thomas lost 33-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Desert Christian (Tucson, AZ)
