In Saturday's non-league contest, the Jasper Vikings (Jasper, AL) softball team held off the visiting Smiths Station Panthers (Smiths, AL), by a margin of 3-2.
With the triumph, Jasper moves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Vikings travel to Gardendale (Gardendale, AL) to play the Rockets in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 16. The Rockets come into the contest with a record of 7-3. Gardendale won 17-0 in their recent league contest against Center Point (Birmingham, AL)
In their next game, the Panthers play the Beulah Bobcats (Valley, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 18. Smiths Station will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Horseshoe Bend (New Site, AL).
