JW North Huskies (Riverside, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Santa Fe Chiefs (Santa Fe Springs, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Orange Vista for a Sunbelt challenge on Wednesday, March 20. JW North will face a Coyotes squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Lakeside (Lake Elsinore, CA). The Coyotes record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Santa Fe falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Chiefs host La Serna (Whittier, CA) to face the Lancers in a Del Rio challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 6-7.
