Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Templeton Eagles (Templeton, CA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Riverdale for a Northwest Sequoia- North challenge on Monday, March 18. Liberty will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Minarets (O'Neals, CA). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Templeton falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Pioneer Valley (Santa Maria, CA) to face the Panthers in a challenge on Wednesday, March 20. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Pioneer Valley lost 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Frontier (Bakersfield, CA)
