Live Oak Eagles (Watson, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Quitman Wolverines (Quitman, LA), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host St. Amant for a 5A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Live Oak will battle a Gators squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Walker (Walker, LA). The Gators record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Quitman falls to 17-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Brusly (Brusly, LA) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 14-2. Brusly won 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against North DeSoto (Stonewall, LA)
