Kentucky High School Softball - Monroe County knocked off by Southwestern

March 16, 2024: Somerset, KY 42503

In Saturday's non-league contest, the Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY), by a margin of 12-0.

With the triumph, Southwestern moves its record to 2-3 on the year. The Warriors host Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY) to play the Colonels in a non-league contest on Monday, March 18. The Colonels come into the contest with a record of 4-0.

In their next game, the Falcons play the Warren Central Dragons (Bowling Green, KY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, March 21. Monroe County will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Dragons come into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to Hart County (Munfordville, KY).
