Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) and the host Pearl Pirates (Pearl, MS), witnessed West Marion's softball squad tip Pearl by a count of 10-3.

The Trojans now sport a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Our Lady Academy for a 3A Region 8 match on Tuesday, March 19. West Marion will face a Crescents squad coming off a 22-0 league loss to St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS). The Crescents record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Pearl moves to 2-5 on the season. The Pirates travel to Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS) to face the Titans in a non-league match on Monday, March 18. The Titans go into the match with a record of 7-5. Ridgeland lost 15-0 in their recent league match against Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS)
