West Warriors (Torrance, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wiseburn- Da Vinci for a Pioneer challenge on Friday, March 22.

With the loss, Rio Mesa falls to 11-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA) to face the Chargers in a Channel challenge on Wednesday, March 20. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 7-5. Dos Pueblos won 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA)
