St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL), 14-11 in a non-league test.
With the win, St. Joseph-Ogden upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Coal City (Coal City, IL) to battle the Coalers in a non-league test on Friday, March 18. The Coalers come into the test with a record of 1-0. Coal City won 10-4 in their recent non-league test against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL)
With the defeat, Althoff Catholic falls to 0-3 on the season. The Crusaders host Wesclin (Trenton, IL) to battle the Warriors in a non-league test on Saturday, March 19. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 1-1.
