The New Hanover Wildcats baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Swansboro Pirates to 2 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Thursday.
The Wildcats (2-2) will now prepare for their match against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions go into the match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, North Brunswick edged Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC), 4-1, in a non-league match.
The Pirates (3-1) will now prepare for their match against South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC). The Blue Devils go into the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, South Lenoir got by Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC), 13-4, in a league challenge.
