Bernalillo Spartans (Bernalillo, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host West Las Vegas Dons (Las Vegas, NM), 15-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Capital for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 18. Bernalillo will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 12-4 non-league win over Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, West Las Vegas falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Dons host Belen (Belen, NM) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Belen won 7-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM)
