The McCurdy Bobcats routed the host Clayton Yellowjackets softball squad by a count of 24-19 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Bobcats (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Pecos (Pecos, NM). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Pecos nudged Estancia (Estancia, NM), 11-10, in a non-league battle.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Mora for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 24. Clayton will meet a Rangers/Rangerettes squad coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes record now stands at 1-1.
