The Wauconda Bulldogs softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Crystal Lake South Gators to 3 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Wauconda improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bulldogs host Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league game on Friday, March 18. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 0-1. Vernon Hills lost 18-7 in their recent non-league game against Carmel (Mundelein, IL)

The Gators (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL). The Knights enter the non-league outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, Rockford Auburn prevailed over DeKalb (DeKalb, IL), 6-5, in a non-league outing.
