The Douglass Indians crushed the visiting Wells Pirates baseball team by a count of 17-0 in Friday's league bout.
The Indians now possess a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they host Centerville for a non-league bout on Friday, March 24. Douglass will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 21-0 non-league loss to Cushing (Cushing, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-10.
The Pirates (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Alto (Alto, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league game with a 11-4 record. In their last game, Alto overcame Kennard (Kennard, TX), 11-1, in a non-league game.
