New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM), 16-11 in a non-league test.

With the win, New Mexico Military Institute upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Colts travel to Loving (Loving, NM) to battle the Falcons in a non-league test on Saturday, March 18. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 3-0. Loving won 20-8 in their recent non-league test against Grady (Grady, NM)

With the defeat, Santa Rosa falls to 2-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Grady (Grady, NM) to battle the Bronchos in a non-league test on Saturday, March 18. The Bronchos come into the test with a record of 1-1. Grady lost 20-8 in their recent non-league test against Loving (Loving, NM)
