The Pacifica Mariners softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Downey Vikings to 0 in the Mariners non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Pacifica improves its record to 9-0 on the year. The Mariners host Valencia (Placentia, CA) to clash with the Tigers in a game on Tuesday, March 21. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 3-5.
In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Warren Bears (Downey, CA) in a game, on Thursday, March 23. Downey will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Bears come into the game with a 1-0 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Kennedy (La Palma, CA).
