Sahuarita Mustangs (Sahuarita, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Benson Bobcats (Benson, AZ), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westwood for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 18. Sahuarita will face a Warriors squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Winslow (Winslow, AZ). The Warriors record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Benson falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 18. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 0-7. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy lost 14-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Westwood (Mesa, AZ)
