The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos (Avondale, AZ) and the visiting Cactus Cobras (Glendale, AZ), saw La Joya Community's softball squad nip Cactus by a count of 5-2.

The Fighting Lobos now sport a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Paradise Valley for a non-league match on Saturday, March 18. La Joya Community will face a Trojans squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Coconino (Flagstaff, AZ). The Trojans record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Cactus falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Cobras travel to Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ) to face the Jaguars in a non-league match on Saturday, March 18. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 4-8. Boulder Creek lost 7-6 in their recent non-league match against Desert Edge (Goodyear, AZ)
