California High School Softball - Mountain View can't get by El Monte

In Friday's league contest, the El Monte Lions (El Monte, CA) softball team held off the visiting Mountain View Vikings (El Monte, CA), by a margin of 6-5.

With the triumph, El Monte moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Gabrielino (San Gabriel, CA) to play the Eagles in a Mission Valley contest on Saturday, March 18. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 1-4.
