In Friday's non-league contest, the Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Wooster Colts (Reno, NV), by a margin of 16-1.

With the triumph, Fernley moves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Vaqueros host Sparks (Sparks, NV) to play the Railroaders in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 18. The Railroaders come into the contest with a record of 2-4. Sparks lost 10-0 in their recent league contest against Dayton (Dayton, NV)

In their next game, the Colts play the Dayton Dust Devils (Dayton, NV) in a 3A North - East contest, on Saturday, March 18. Wooster will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Dust Devils come into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 10-0 league win over Sparks (Sparks, NV).
