Lake Stevens Vikings (Lake Stevens, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA), 14-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Arlington for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 20. Lake Stevens will face a Eagles squad coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Kamiak (Mukilteo, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Lakewood falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Anacortes (Anacortes, WA) to face the Seahawks in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Seahawks enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
