Arizona High School Baseball - Apache Junction nips Poston Butte

March 17, 2025: Apache Junction, AZ 85120

The Apache Junction Prospectors baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Poston Butte Broncos to 7 in the Prospectors non-league win on Monday.

The Prospectors now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Coolidge for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 18. Apache Junction will clash with a Bears team coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Santa Cruz Valley (Eloy, AZ). The Bears record now stands at 3-4.

With the defeat, Poston Butte drops to 3-6 on the year. The Broncos travel to Sahuaro (Tucson, AZ) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 19. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 1-8. Sahuaro lost 13-0 in their recent non-league test against Pueblo (Tucson, AZ)
