The Vermilion Catholic Eagles baseball team scored 21 runs and held the host Gueydan Bears to 0 in the Eagles non-league win on Monday.

The Eagles now hold a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they host Westminster Christian Academy for a 1A District 6 test on Tuesday, March 18. Vermilion Catholic will play a Chargers team coming off a 11-1 league loss to Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA). The Chargers record now stands at 4-11.

With the defeat, Gueydan drops to 4-9 on the year. The Bears host Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA) to play the Bears in a 1A District 6 test on Tuesday, March 18. The Bears go into the test with a record of 6-12. Highland Baptist Christian lost 14-0 in their recent league test against Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA)
