Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA), 14-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Halifax County advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Comets host Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 25. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 1-0. Liberty Christian won 4-2 in their recent non-league match against Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA)

The Statesmen now have a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 19. Randolph-Henry will battle a Knights squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Fuqua (Farmville, VA). The Knights record now stands at 1-3.
