The St. Joseph Catholic Bruins (Madison, MS) baseball trounced the visiting Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS), 14-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Bruins now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they host St. Andrew's Episcopal for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 18. St. Joseph Catholic will clash with a Saints team coming off a 14-3 non-league win over McGill-Toolen (Mobile, AL). The Saints record now stands at 8-5.
With the defeat, Loyd Star drops to 6-5 on the year. The Hornets host Mize (Mize, MS) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 18. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Mize lost 7-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS)
