The Rayne Wolves baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Mamou Demons to 8 in the Wolves non-league win on Monday.
The Wolves now hold a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host Westgate for a 4A District 4 test on Tuesday, March 18. Rayne will play a Tigers team coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Peabody (Alexandria, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-9.
With the defeat, Mamou moves to 9-5 on the season. The Demons host Crowley (Crowley, LA) to confront the Gent in a 3A District 4 contest on Tuesday, March 18. The Gent come into the contest with a record of 10-9.
