The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Pulaski County Maroons (Somerset, KY) and the visiting Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY), saw Pulaski County's baseball team get by Wayne County by a tally of 2-1.
The Maroons (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY). The Colonels enter the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Whitley County held off George Rogers Clark (Winchester, KY), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Cardinals face the Taylor County Cardinals (Campbellsville, KY) in a non-league battle, on Friday, March 21. Wayne County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Cardinals enter the battle with a 2-0 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Larue County (Hodgenville, KY).
