The Smiths Station Panthers baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Shaw Raiders to 6 in the Panthers non-league win on Monday.
The Panthers now hold a 7-13 record. They take the field next when they host Russell County for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 18. Smiths Station will play a Warriors team coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Northside (Columbus, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-9.
With the defeat, Shaw drops to 8-8 on the year. The Raiders travel to Jordan (Columbus, GA) to play the Red Jackets in a AA Region 1 test on Tuesday, March 18. The Red Jackets go into the test with a record of 9-5. Jordan won 19-0 in their recent league test against Carver (Columbus, GA)
