With the victory, Godwin advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Eagles host Freeman (Richmond, VA) to play the Mavericks in a non-league game on Thursday, March 20. The Mavericks come into the game with a record of 0-0.

The Rapids now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monticello for a non-league game on Friday, March 21. James River Midlothian will play a Mustangs team coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.
