In Monday's non-league match, the host Crittenden County Rockets softball team scored a tight 8-4 win over the Hopkins County Central Storm.
The Rockets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Mayfield (Mayfield, KY). The Cardinals come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Mayfield nipped Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY), 15-3, in a non-league match.
