The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) and the host Alexander Bulldogs (Laredo, TX), observed Weslaco's softball team notch a victory over Alexander by a final score of 16-2.

The Panthers (9-10) will now prepare for their bout against Harlingen (Harlingen, TX). The Cardinals go into the non-league bout with a 11-8 record. In their last bout, Harlingen gained a win over Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX), 11-8, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the United Longhorns (Laredo, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 30 bout, on Friday, March 21. Alexander will attempt to better on its 6-15 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 8-4 league loss to Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX).
