The Franklinton Demons triumphed over the host Cabrini Crescents softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Demons play the St. Scholastica Doves (Covington, LA) in a 4A District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, March 18. Franklinton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Doves enter the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 13-6 non-league loss to Northlake Christian (Covington, LA).

The Crescents (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Livingston Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Wolves enter the 3A District 9 challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Livingston Collegiate Academy edged Frederick A. Douglass (New Orleans, LA), 19-9, in a non-league challenge.
