Piggott Mohawks (Piggott, AR) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Corning Bobcats (Corning, AR), 16-14 in a league game.

With the triumph, Piggott upgrades its record to 1-2 on the year. The Mohawks travel to Riverside (Lake City, AR) to play the Rebels in a 2A Region 3 game on Monday, March 31. The Rebels enter the game with a record of 3-2.

The Bobcats now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Cross County for a 2A Region 3 game on Thursday, March 20. Corning will play a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 8-6 non-league win over Sloan-Hendrix (Imboden, AR). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-5.
