The Lewis County Lions softball squad (Vanceburg, KY), was routed 13-8 in Monday's non-league contest with the host George Rogers Clark Cardinals (Winchester, KY)

With the triumph, George Rogers Clark improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Breathitt County (Jackson, KY) to face the Bobcats in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 18. The Bobcats enter the contest with a record of 1-0. Breathitt County won 21-0 in their recent non-league contest against Owsley County (Booneville, KY)

The Lions now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bracken County for a non-league contest on Thursday, March 20. Lewis County will face a Polar Bears squad coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Robertson County (Mt. Olivet, KY). The Polar Bears record now stands at 2-0.
