North Carolina High School Softball - Hopewell can't get by South Mecklenburg

March 17, 2025: Huntersville, NC 28078

The South Mecklenburg Sabres edged the host Hopewell Titans softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Sabres play the Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC) in a So Meck 4A challenge, on Wednesday, March 19. South Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC).

The Titans (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Lions enter the Queen City 3A/4A challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, West Charlotte edged West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 17-0, in a league challenge.
